In the first week of December, a soil analysis was carried out by our technician @cervatogianmarco, in the province of Vicenza in Gambellara. Soil analysis is a key element in agriculture, as it provides detailed information on the quality and composition of the soil, allowing farmers to adopt more targeted and effective practices. It allows you to: 1. Determine the pH of the soil: pH affects the availability of nutrients for plants. For example, a pH that is too acidic or too alkaline can limit the absorption of some essential minerals. Knowing the pH allows farmers to amend the soil, for example, using lime to raise the pH or sulfur to lower it. 2. Analyze nutrients: an in-depth analysis allows you to know the concentration of macronutrients (such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and micronutrients (such as iron, magnesium, zinc). This helps farmers determine which fertilizers are needed and in what quantities, reducing the risk of overdosing and optimizing fertilization.
